If you want to be a Gym Leader or another high ranked pokemon trainer, come here to see if the spot is open, and if it is then go ahead and create the character and it will be reviewed! Gym LeadersThe gyms of Arthias are not like the typical Pokemon Gym. Each has it's own challenge, and though some are, not all eight are based off of a single type. The Gym Leaders of the Arthias region are granted the ability to design and create their own challenge and badge. If applying as a gym leader, please include the challenge and badge name/design with your application. Battle of Wits Quill Badge Professor Taivas Cogitare, PhD

Professor Taivas Cogitare, PhDTown/City Desired: Silver Town Badge Design: A feather quill. Gym Description: Professor Cogitare's gym also serves as his personal library. The massive room has every wall lined with books, and a hardwood floor covers the gym. Usually the professor tends to host Pokemon battles outside, though. If he does have a battle in his gym, metal sliders come down on each shelf in order to protect the books. Challenge Focus: Battle of Wits. The professor does not tolerate victory through brutal force. Often a test of knowledge is given to a challenger before they are allowed to battle him. He is unforgiving to those who cannot pass his tests of intellect.

Jake KellnerTown/City Desired: Xeno Village Badge Design: Skull Badge. A black octagon behind a large white skull. Gym Description: A building that looks like some sort of church or cathedral. The inside feels more like a dark cave. It is dimly lit by small lamps on the walls. A eerie white mist flows throughout the gym, making it hard to see very far. In order to reach the gym leader, challengers must first find their way among the mist, darkness, and a maze of boulders with the help of their Pokemon. The gym leader sits in a small throne atop some stone steps in a larger, rocky area at the end of the gym. Here Jake spends most of his time meditating, talking to his Pokemon, or honing their skills. This room has much less fog, several stone pillars (some broken from battles) and the sun shines many small spotlights down through holes in the ceiling onto each of these pillars, as well as a larger one on the throne and the trainers' positions on the battlefield. Very little can be seen outside of these areas of light. Battles are held in this room. Challenge Focus: Battle of Inner Strength. Once challengers overcome the darkness and reach Jake, he will briefly discuss the finality of death. He will only accept their challenge if they understand the seriousness of battling. After this, a Pokemon doctor enters the room and Jake informs the challenger that the only healing items allowed during the battle will be those held by the Pokemon themselves, and that neither side will be allowed to switch out Pokemon. These rules are meant to emphasize the high stakes of battle, and must be obeyed in order to receive the Skull Badge. If any serious injury takes place, the battle will halted, the room will light up and the doctor will step in.
